Trashique

A few weeks ago I was able to be apart of a fundraiser for the Fresno Art Museum (in CA) called Trashique. Many artist crated clothing out of trash. It was It was such a cool experience for me. My three original dress were in the show. I had never seen any of designs on a real run way, even if it was for a fundraiser. The other artist did amazing work and I was blown away but how beautiful some of the other trash clothing was. I loved every second of it! Hear are some photos of the event taken by my mother and me.
The model second in to the left with all the colors is not one of my outfits.

The very First Dress New and in Proved!

Hear it is the dress that stared it all...
I just finished remaking it to day. The original that was made over a year a go was a mess. This one is bigger, better, and beautiful.
I normale hate modeling my own stuff because it feels like a cliche but since I had to get these photos up, I guess I'll live.
My mom was the perfect last minute photographer!

Hope you enjoy more to come soon!

OK I know I just posted only a few hours ago but i must get the photographs of two of the dresses that started this. They are modeled by two of my friends in San Francisco. They were taken over a year ago by me. It was around 50 degrees there! We had so much fun and enjoyed every minute of it.
The dress that is complete black is made out of black trash bags and is complete with a zipper in the back. They both are held to gather by hot glue. No sewing was involved in this. The black and pink dress is made with black trash bags as well and hot pink duck tape. They were so much fun to make.

Hello to the Blogging world

Hello to all you fellow bloggers and internet goers. I have wanted to do this blog for some time now but just haven't gotten around to it, but hear I am writing my first post to you. Who ever you might be.
About a year ago I created three dresses out of trash and did a story book about them. I enjoyed it so much and have wanted to continue making clothing out of house hold items and trash. It is a fun challenge and I have wanted to create more but never had a reason to. Well I figured if I had a place to display them then I would have a reason to make more. So that is how The Beauty of Trash came to be.
